In May of this year the planning committee gave permission in the teeth of local opposition for Taylor Wimpey to build 99 homes on a greenfield site to the south west of Dunmow. I felt the committee hearing had been manipulated and the decision was an affront to common sense. Therefore I went out and raised just over £3000 from local residents in order to fund a legal challenge to the decision.
As it happened I was involved in a serious crash on the Wednesday of that week in June, my injuries meant I missed the June planning committee. However, stitched and bandaged I went up to Cambridge on the Friday and primed the legal team.
