With three months to go to polling day, I am honoured to have been selected by Residents for Uttlesford (R4U) as a prospective candidate, alongside Belinda Irons, for the new two-member district council ward of Littlebury, Chesterford and Wenden Lofts.
Belinda and I look forward to working with the R4U team and, above all, reaching out to the residents of our ward over the coming months.
Housing, communities and sustainable development are of course key issues across Uttlesford and no less around the villages in the north-west of the district. Belinda and I will work hard to ensure that all local people are offered access to high-quality homes that they and their families can afford to live in, keep warm and comfortable, and maintain to a good standard.
We will also be interested to pursue ways to improve the quality of life for everyone dwelling in or visiting Uttlesford without extra burden on the council-tax payer. Having experienced the impact of developments like the Saffron Screen community cinema and Saffron Hall, I will be excited to hear residents’ ideas and to see what else can be done- Please comment on the thread below and we will be happy to discuss your ideas!
