There are many local issues in Uttlesford that need attention, but instead Westminster party politicians are spending their time bickering about national issues. They are working on their agenda, not yours. What about things like the airport expansion, housing estates being built without the proper infrastructure such as schools, roads and surgeries? And then there’s spiralling crime, gridlocked traffic, fly-parking and bursting schools. Yet our council taxes go up every year and we get less.
Residents representing residents and nobody else
There is a way to change things. R4U is the local party made by residents for residents. We don’t spend our time on national politics. We are 100% focused on everything around us. That’s what has made us the fastest growing party in Uttlesford. In our first election in 2015 we became the second party in Uttlesford, and in 2017 we won 60% of the vote in the Elsenham and Henham district by-election. Residents trust us to get things done.
Takeley ward residents can get better representation
The local council elections are in May. In 2015 we were 11 votes short of getting a Residents councillor in the Takeley ward. We can do it in 2019 with your help! If you’re concerned about the direction of where we all live, please come, meet and question your residents’ candidates for the Takeley district ward at the Silver Jubilee Hall.
Takeley district ward covers Broxted, Chickney, Little Canfield, and Takeley.
Meet your Residents candidates on 30th January
Please attend on Wednesday, 30th January 2019 8:00pm – 9:30pm @ Silver Jubilee Hall, 4 Dunmow Rd, Takeley, CM22 6QX. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
